We value the opportunity to work with future leaders who want to grow personally and professionally and create impact in the social impact sector. During this 6 months program, you will be able to see the direct outputs of your work while navigating through your journey of changing the world.

Your Role

Do you have an experience that makes our mission meaningful to you personally? As a Management Associate (master's degree holder) or a Management Executive (bachelor's degree holder) at the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), you will have the chance to contribute to our initiatives through engaging, meaningful work assignments. You'll work across different thematic areas in the organisation including Global Health, Education, Innovative Digital Solutions, Agriculture, Climate and Food Security, Poverty, Livelihoods, and Jobs, Governance, and Gender Inclusion. We operate with a deep commitment to innovation, accountability, and inclusion and value the diverse perspectives and experiences of our team members.

Role: Cinematographer/Video Editor  (Communications and Advocacy for Social Impact)

Locations: Abuja

Employment Type: Fixed Term

Job Responsibilities

Produce a variety of films and media content, including short films, feature films, TV commercials, TV shows, and documentaries.

Oversee directing, cinematography, and editing processes.

Conduct research on industry-related topics to ensure accurate and relevant content.

Collaborate with the technical team to develop content strategies and campaigns that align with the brand and target audience.

Create engaging video scripts and work closely with the video editing team.

Collaborate with the team to tell visually compelling stories.

Set up and operate video cameras, audio recording devices, and lighting equipment.

Capture high-quality video footage and take professional-grade photographs.

Use audio-visual tools to tell emotive stories.

Create impactful images and videos for email marketing campaigns.
Support branding processes, website redesign, social media, and multimedia communications.

Assist with internal communications.
Monitor and analyze website traffic, engagement metrics, and user behavior to improve content performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content creation.

 

Requirements:

Proven track record of creating commercials, documentaries, short films, or feature films.

Proficient in using professional camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording devices.

Expertise in post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Photoshop.

Familiarity with color grading, sound design, and visual effects.

Strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail and composition.

Ability to conceptualize and execute visually compelling narratives.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with directors, producers, and other team members.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.

Enthusiastic and passionate about film and media production for social impact

Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.

Ability to advance organizational mission by creating compelling visual strategies to increase reach and impact.
