Supported by the MacArthur Foundation, the Behavioral Innovation Lab of the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC) designed the BiNTA Fellowship, a pioneering behavioural re-engineering initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of anti-corruption changemakers to leverage behavioural insights in disrupting the socially normative status of corruption in Nigeria.
BiNTA’s evidence-based theory of change posits that stemming the menacing tide of corruption in Nigeria will stand a higher chance of success if anti-corruption changemakers are adequately equipped and supported to integrate behavioural insights in developing and implementing their initiatives.
The first edition of the fellowship commenced on November 1st, 2023, and admitted thirty individuals from various sectors who are committed to developing and implementing behaviorally-informed anti-corruption initiatives. Over 6 months, these choice fellows are to undergo a 3-phase process of Training, Co-creation, and Implementation, with the support of seasoned mentors and Behavioral Insights professionals.
BiNTA Fellowship envisions an Africa where transparency and accountability are embraced, entrenched, and promoted as the norm in all sectors and spheres of society, leading to accelerated development for the continent.
